A tornado drill will be conducted the first Wednesday of every month at 10 am. At this time the emergency siren will sound one long blast, then three short blasts for all clear.

The Village of Unionville Council meetings are held at 7pm the third Monday of every month in the conference room at the Village Hall. Council meeting minutes are posted at the Village office, US Post Office, Columbia Township Library also on our this site.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING:
Christmas Trees will be accepted at the Tuscola County Recycling beginning Monday January 4, 2010 through Friday January 15, 2010. Please be sure to remove all decorations including tinsel, ornaments and tree stands. The Recycling Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9am to 1pm. Tuscola County Recycling is located at 1123 Mertz Road (M24) in Caro. for each tree you bring to be recycled you will receive a coupon for a free tree seedling donated by Tuscola County Soil Conservatin District, which can be picked up in April during the spring tree sale. You may contact Tuscola County Recycling Center for more information by calling (989) 672-1673 or email recycle@tuscolacounty.org
Tuscola County Recycling Center at 1123 Mertz Road (M24) in Caro is accepting electronics FREE of charge until April 1, 2009. After this date, they will be charging $5.00 for each television & computer monitor. They will continue to accept the following items year round, FREE of charge:
Computer towers, VCRs DVD players, stereos, printers, fax machines, telephones, scanners, cellular phones, speakers, keyboards, computer mouse, rubber covered cords, household and auto batteries. If you have questions please contact them by calling (989) 672-1673 M-F 8am to 4:30pm.
