Unionville Community Association:

Updates of what's going on. We have permission from the Village Council to go ahead with selling bricks for the veterans walk path to be placed inside the Kemp Park. The bricks will be going on sale soon. A 4x4 brick will be $40.00 and a 8x8 brick will be $100.00.

Discussion at our Feb. 5 meeting was about what to do for the Village Farm Festival. We will be selling our bricks but different suggestions have been coming in as what else to do. We had planned on having a ice cream social however the Methodist Church has requested to do this. Perhaps a antique road show...we are pursuing this.

We have agreed to apply for a license from the State of Michigan to have a money raffle, when we receive the license we will have ten different drawing dates with cash prizes.

Our goal is to raise money for all our different projects, like the clock tower and street lights etc.

We have heard from Spicer's engineering and they would request $4,800.00 for a formal project plan to be drawn up. We are waiting to hear from Wade Trim and Lampham before any further action.

The committee has requested a application from Michigan Department of Natural Resources for a grant for our park and will submit this as soon as possible. Other grants are available to help us as well and all are being looked into.

Our next meeting will be held March 4 at 7:00 in the American Legion basement
